This
is a modified version of the Signal Whip, designed for hitting
as well as flourishing and grazing. The final section of
the braided thong remains unbraided, and is finished with a small Turk's
Head knot.
It
does not “crack” loudly ... but makes at best, a dull thudding “pop.”
(Which gave rise to the myth of the "Video Dog Whip"
